Children's Education
Catechize them! They will thank you
St. Paul’s children’s education involves traditional and meaningful catechesis. Parents are encouraged to teach their children from the Small Catechism so their kids grow up fearing and loving God and serving the neighbor, developing good habits, and being God’s people in the world.
Children meet every Sunday for Bible Class, appropriate for their ages. Our teachers devote time and prayer to preparing each lesson so the kids never go away empty.
Confirmation
Always be prepared to make a defense
When children come of age (7th and 8th grade) they start the process of learning more deeply of their Christian faith. They delve into the Small Catechism and the Scripture, learning and memorizing bible passages, the 6 chief parts of the catechism, and even a bit of rhetoric, logic, philosophy, and cultural concerns.
After two to three years of intensive study with the pastor, they stand before the congregation confessing their faith and making vows to God and men that they will continue to confess this one true faith, attend church, receive the Sacrament, and live lives pleasing to God. Youth Group
Find your place in God's House!
Our 9th through 12 grade youth meet in our large Youth Group Room (being remodeled this summer) every week to study God’s Word, ask questions, and have fun. They also assist with worship (media booth, usher, altar guild, etc.) and discover their place in God’s church.
We aren’t like other youth groups; we’re not just about fun and games. We mean business because we want our youth truly connected to Christ both in their church and in their lives outside the church.
