The Relationship Between Faith and Science Explored at Lifetree Café

The often-rocky relationship between faith and science will be discussed at Lifetree Café on Wednesday, April17 at 7pm.

The program, titled “Faith and Science: Discoveries From the Scientist Who Led the Human Genome Project,” features a filmed interview with Dr. Francis Collins, a world-renowned geneticist noted for his leadership in directing the human genome project.

“For me as a scientist, there are aspects of what we have learned about nature that seem to be pointers toward God. Not proofs, but pointers,” says Collins. “The fact that the universe seems to have a beginning is crying out for some explanation of how you can go from nothing to something.”

Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located just west of Koch’s Hardware Hank on the north side of the road in St. Paul’s Lutheran church. Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation about life and faith in a casual, comfortable setting. Questions about Lifetree may be directed to Rev.
