Situated just west of town, St. Paul's Lutheran Church is a place where God's children gather to hear His holy Word and receive His blessed Sacrament, fellowship with other believers, and foster a Christlike atmosphere of forgiveness, hope, joy, and peace.
What is Lutheranism?St. Paul's has been serving the Milaca and Foreston communities for over 110 years, bringing confessional Lutheranism, historic liturgy, faithful preaching and the Lord's sacraments to hundreds of families.
HistoryRev. Martin Hauser, along with several families from Foley, MN, loaded the horse and buggy and started St. Paul's in homes and in the Norwegian Lutheran church facility in Milaca.
In 1946, the growing congregation voted to join the LCMS -- the largest Lutheran church body in America at the time. By 1949 the church became LCMS and a new LCMS pastor was called, Rev. Edmund Bentrup.
In 1963, the congregation grew out of its first little church, the old Norwegian church, and moved to the old ELC facility across from the Funeral Home and Grocery.? After another nearly 40 years, St. Paul's voted to build a brand new building west of town, and in 2001 the current facility was set apart for the Lord's work.
Rev. (Roy) Daniel Carlson, who uses his middle name, has been with St. Paul's since June of 2018. He is a graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Don't all churches teach the same things? Why should you consider making St. Paul's your church home?
