Stewardship Thought for the Week

Matthew 15:27 – “Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” These are the words of faith, for faith means receiving what God gives. And God has given us so much more than just the crumbs that fall from the table — He has given us life, salvation, body and soul, eyes and ears, possessions and income. That’s where our stewardship starts: with faith in the God who is the greatest Giver.

DAILY 15-MINUTE BIBLE STUDY… The Word of the Lord Endures Forever is a daily 15-minute verse-by-verse Bible study produced by Lutheran Public Radio in Collinsville, IL and hosted by LCMS Pastor Will Weedon.  Pastor Weedon will be leading a study this week on The Macedonian Call; The Conversion of Lydia; Paul and Silas in Prison and The Philippian Jailer Converted in Acts 15 and 16.  You can listen at your convenience at thewordendures.org, the LPR mobile app and your favorite podcast provider.

"Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm."

Are you saving your Teals receipts and turning them in?  Every dollar you spend at Teals returns a percentage back to St. Paul’s, but you have to save your receipts and turn them in regularly.  Speak to Jane Marquardsen if you have questions!

The first day of Sunday School is September 17th!  To celebrate the occasion, we will open the year with a call to all our kids and their friends to join us for an outdoor service, followed by and opening celebration in the Sanctuary.

It’s time for our kids to return to church and to learn about their Lord and Savior!  Let’s work to make this year’s Sunday School full of kids, youth, and adults.

Join us on September 17th for the outdoor service where we dedicated the Jean Larsen & Joyce VanDonsel Memorial Garden!

Beginning this Sunday, the Sunday morning Adult class will walk through the second module of the Re:Vitality series.  This module, deals with inactive members and how to reach out to them and encourage them to return to regular worship.  Remember, this is about eternal life matters!  We should not let our inactives slip too far from us.  Please attend this video-driven module which will run through August and part of September.
