1. Jesus is going throughout the towns and villages preaching, teaching, and healing
   • He sees the crowd and finds that they are like sheep without a shepherd
   • He sends His disciples out to the towns to preach repentance and faith (the Good News of the Kingdom)
   • He warns them of the sure suffering to come
   • He assures them that God will be with them
2. Today, many in our community are lost and helpless, like a sheep without a shepherd
   • God sends pastors to preach repentance and faith (the Good News of the Kingdom)
   • God sends all Christians to share the Gospel in their lives
   • God sent Jesus, like a lamb to slaughter, to suffer and die so that no one would be lost or without a shepherd again
