Greetings! Please read the following important information regarding the Christian Seder…

You can no longer sign up to participate in the Seder. If you still desire to take part, please contact Pastor Carlson (pastor@stpaulsmilaca.org) right away. A spot cannot be guaranteed since the food has already been ordered.

For all attending, a free-will offering will be collected to help with some of the costs of the Seder.

Participants should arrive at the church no later than 6:00 PM. We will not start until everyone has arrived. When you arrive, you will be escorted to your table (tables and seats are assigned). When you arrive at your place, you will see the “Haggadah” or the printed order resting on your chair. *If you have an orange or pink mark on the Haggadah, be aware that you have a part to play in the Seder (you are either doing a reading or the host of your table). Table Hosts have special responsibilities which we will talk about that night.

If you signed up to help with setup, cooking, providing ingredients, or serving for the Seder next Thursday, please read the following carefully:

The Matzo (unleavened bread) will be made on WEDNESDAY EVENING. Please be at the church by 6pm if you are able to assist with this. We will be mixing ingredients and baking.

The Charoset (apples/walnuts/wine) will be made on THURSDAY MORNING. Please be at the church by 10am if you are able to assist with this. It requires dicing the apples, crushing walnuts, and mixing ingredients.

The Eggs need to be at the church by Thursday noon. If you are hard-boiling them yourself, you can bring them later, by 3pm, if you’d like.

The APPLES need to be at the church by Wednesday evening.

Other Misc Ingredients should arrive at the church as soon as possible, but not later than Wednesday evening.

If you signed up to assist to help set up, please be at the church on Thursday no later than 3:00 PM. We will, at that time, begin assembling the plates for each participant (filling plates with the various parts of the Seder meal), cutting the Lamb and turkey, etc.

If you signed up to assist in the kitchen with serving, please arrive at the church no later than 5:30 PM on Thursday the 6th. For the first part of the Seder you will sit and take part in the meal. After the Seder ends, you’ll need to assist in the kitchen with cleaning and serving.

If you or your child(ren) signed up to assist with serving tables, please arrive by 5:30 PM on Thursday the 6th. For the first part of the Seder, you will sit and take part in the meal. After the Seder ends, you’ll need to assist with serving water, coffee, and other food, and cleaning tables.

As always, if you have questions, just ask by emailing pastor.
